Abstract

Root canal therapy is one of the most frequently performed yet demanding procedures in general dental practice. From accurate diagnosis to managing complex canal anatomies, general dentists face several practical and clinical hurdles. With increasing patient expectations and limited access to specialized tools, the pressure to deliver predictable endodontic outcomes has intensified. This review explores common endodontic challenges encountered by general dentists and provides evidence-based strategies to overcome them.
